Ladyzhyn: a home for children without family
In the small city of Ladyzhyn, in central Ukraine, there is an orphanage that shelters dozens of children who, due to various circumstances, cannot live with their biological families. This center has become one of the main focuses of our humanitarian action.
Since our first visit, we established a special bond with the children and staff of the orphanage. Their smiles, despite the difficulties, remind us why we do what we do.
Identified needs
Upon learning firsthand about the reality of the orphanage, we identified urgent shortages:
- Hygiene products: Lack of basic items such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo, and personal care products.
- Educational material: Shortage of books, notebooks, writing materials, and pedagogical resources.
- Sanitary equipment: Need for UV lamps and other elements to maintain optimal hygienic conditions.
- Toys and entertainment: Children need play and leisure spaces for their emotional development.
Our response
We organized several aid missions in which we delivered:
- Complete personal hygiene kits for all children.
- Educational toys and school supplies.
- UV lamps for disinfection of common areas.
- Warm clothing for winter months.
- Non-perishable foods and vitamin supplements.
The impact of your solidarity
Thanks to the donations received, we have been able to significantly improve the living conditions of the children of Ladyzhyn. But our work does not end here. The orphanage continues to need ongoing support to cover its basic needs.
Next steps
We are planning new missions to expand our support, including creative workshops, recreational activities, and facility improvements. Your contribution makes each of these initiatives possible.
